Someday Challenge 2019
The Outlook for Someday’s annual film challenge is back for 2019.
If you or a friend, classmate, student or neighbour is interested in filmmaking and/or sustainability, be brave and take up the Someday Challenge – and encourage them to do the same!
What’s it all about?
The challenge is to create a short film, up to five minutes, on a theme of sustainability – human, social, economic or environmental.
Who is it for?
All young people of Aotearoa up to 24.
Use any camera, choose any genre, and explore any topic relating to sustainability.
Friday, August 3oth. Please note that this is earlier than in previous years.
Winners are invited to a glittering awards ceremony in Auckland where they can connect with filmmaking peers and meet industry professionals.
This year’s free one-day workshops are taking place throughout New Zealand through Autumn and Winter 2019. They are open to young people from school years 7 to 13 (age 11 to 18), as well as teachers and youth workers who want to engage with The Outlook for Someday as a vehicle for sustainability film-making. The closest workshop to Marlborough is being held in Nelson on Tuesday 21 May. The full workshop schedule can be found here.
